Al my intrerior is getting done by Black needle and he has started on some of it.
You have to put the top of the dash on first then put everything up from underneath.
Its hard on the vc to vh as they have the suport in the dash. Its the middle nut that is the hassle as you can get to the side ones with ac and heater box in otherwise.

Cant fault anything I have had done by them. The dash isnt easy to drop in with that big support across the middle, but I eventually managed. Next car will be a full stripdown rebuild, which should make everything a lot easier to do.

Just some photos from yesterdays progress. Showing the floor and new seatbelts going in. Plus the new radio in action with a few hidden surprises that will be unvieled in full in the coming weeks. Im still waiting on my slim profile kick panel speakers to come in so doubt I will have them installed by next weekend. But at this stage everything is just about installed, always a few things that can be added.

Wanted to take a photo of the new seats in position but been to dark and wet today to show them properly, better seen in the flesh.

We have learnt a lot about different things to do and not do on this build. The Torana will certainly be a full strip down. Im hoping by doing it that way the quality of the work should be a lot higher and I wont be going back over things already done. I know it will be a little bit more difficult because everything is off, but that is part of the fun. What should we be watching out for on the next build?

Got a little step by step build tonight. Decided after all of the dust and dirt I found in the ventilation ducts that it needs a cabin filter. So here is my design of a cabin filter to fit a VH. As far as I know there wouldnt be to many others like this. Worked out a filter from a pathfinder roughly fits the hole. So I went about making a blockoff plate for the top inlet to allow the filter to be securely held. Rivet and Sika the whole thing together and its better then a bought one. Really happy with how it turned out but now that the top cover is in place no one will ever see my handy work again, at least I will be breathing clean air if the windows are ever up.

Also got a little teaser of the seats in their new home.

Got a lot of dust buildup to clean before the next show. Cant wait to get her on the road and enjoy her for what she was built for, gentle weekend drives.

Been doing plenty of polishing lately. Stripped the carby back to nothing and polished every bit of metal on the thing that I could get to. Wont be that shiny ever again so hope I can get it out for the weekend. Has been wanting a seal kit put through it for a while, tuned up and running better then it has in a long time. Not bad for a 32yo carby.

Got a few bits at the chromers which should be done tomorrow as a little surprise on the lid. Car looked pretty cool on Monday morning doing laps of the neighborhood impersonating a hot rod as I tuned up the carby.
