After obtaining our new clubsport unfortunately we had a issue with climate control fan speed on lower settings,
only high speed was working due to high speed running of a relay & (AUTO) 1-2-3 running on a speed resistor...
another give away sign is a small x in the corner of display
After getting a few quotes from holden I was quite shocked and turned to auto electrician's which I must say where more forgiving at $200 but still $200 lol replacement part is roughly 60 -90 dollars compared where you shop
soooooo here a top tip..... it seems that there is a connection on speed resistor between cooling fins and electronic board this is bent away from main body to prevent interference which creates tension on the connection and breaks over time due to potholes & what have you, A touch of solder and 30 min later 5c worth of solder and working like a dream
here is a simple run down I will include photos when I check the senator's unit
1:Open glove box & remove the 2 rubber clips
2:pull glovebox down and it should unclip itself & allow removal
3:Now you should see a plug with 3 wires running to a white oval shaped unit with 2 screws entering hvac.
4:Disconect wiring plug undo 2 screws
5:Remove speed resistor and visually check the wire-band for connection very obvious!!!!
6: if broken connection re-solder if not double check fuse beside this
7: Reassemble and enjoy & wonder why you never did this earlier
enjoy guys hope this helps at least one other person it saved me heaps....
