Well, as you (well most of you) know I work in the Sydney CBD.

I was a tad upset when back in Oct we moved premises from 82 Pitt St (right next to Martin Place) up to Park St (near Town Hall).......as it was such a great central location in the CBD.

Must say now, very happy with the move given the events of today.

It was surreal actually as the rest of the Sydney just kept on going about their business when the events of Martin Place was unfolding. Credit to the State Govt for also keeping the impact on the CBD minimal and public transport working. Well done Mike Baird.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy and safe resolution for all the hostages still held by this nutcase.

Cheers

I know people can criticize what the police do sometimes, but every one of the police force especially the special ops deserve every bit of credit they can get for how they dealt with that.

A very somber day in the city today and for that matter the rest of Australia. It started with a very quiet bus ride to work, little to no meaningless chat in the office and no wanted the lunch room TV on. You could sense and see it on the streets too.

A heart breaking end.

Condolences to the families and loved of Katrina Dawson and Tori Johnson and best wishes for a speedy recovery to those innocent victims and the police officer injured during the rescue.

From what I've seen and heard the NSW Police did a first class job in trying to resolve this situation.

Cheers
