Just a quick shout out to Coxi who's RFS brigade has been called out today to fight the fires.

Hope everyone out there tonight and over the next few days are safe. That wind whipped up some pretty nasty fire conditions today

Here's a run down of the last 24hrs out til 11:30 last night at Port Kembla fire threatening homes in area left station at 10:30 this morning responded to Cordeaux Colliery then put on fire trail 6 near Cordeaux Dam started a 20Km back burn relived ay 19:00hrs to night. Tomorrow doing aviation at Illawarra air port with water bombers.

looks like we have got on top of the fire around Wilton we are starting to scale down on the number of tankers and planes. On a sad note though spare a thought for the family of the pilot who lost his life, a pilots life might look glamorous but its bloody dangerous I will keep my feet on the ground .

People like you is why the firer's get put out and most people still have a house.
