IMPORTANT NOTICE

THIS WEEKENDS CRUISE IS STILL ON BUT THE DESTINATION HAS CHANGED

Due to ongoing wet weather including that predicted for this weekend and the general soggy state of the ground in greater Sydney, Committee proposes to change the destination to the Australian Motorlife Museum at Dapto.

http://www.motorlifemuseum.com.au/

ENTRY COST*
Adult: $15.00 pp - Children (6-16): $5.00pp
Concession: $12.00 pp - NRMA Members: $10.00pp

Whilst a few of us have been there before, it is an undercover venue including a very good undercover picnic area (inc BBQ's). It's a fabulous museum with a very large selection of cars, bikes, automotive history galore.

We all very much want to get out for a drive but turning up to a wet, boggy park and possibly sitting in the rain all day is not that much fun.

If any of the members attending would like to propose something different, we'd be pleased to hear from you.

The start point for this cruise will remain unchanged but we'll just head in a different direction.

Regards

ACC Committee

Sounds good. How about Mt Vic pub. More chance of it being dry in that direction.

Either way as long as I dont need a paddle will be there for a drive.

At this stage if its bad weather i will be staying at home and doing a few thing to my car that need doing rather than get it dirty again.

I think the Mt Vic Pub for lunch sounds like a good idea & met around 10am for the drive up for lunch.

Thanks for the suggestion James.

Did a little digging on the pub at My Vic (aka Imperial Hotel). Looks like a change of management there in the last 12 months which has resulted in some bad reviews on Tripadvisor.

Given the bad reviews for that pub we'll still head south to the museum tomorrow.

We do have another pub cruise (heading south) on the agenda for the coming months so please stay tuned for that.

Till tomorrow guys.

Cheers

We are still a go. Rain looks like it will be easing off tomorrow but still with us in some parts of the day.

A big thanks for all those who braved the elements and ventured out today. Whilst we copped the odd sprinkle or two, the weather gods smiled on us. Got to be happy with that.

And whilst we couldn't attend our initial destination due to the wet ground under foot, the Australian Motorlife Museum was a once again a great place to spend a few hours. It was great to see the new cars on display and also have a guided tour of some of the museum's key pieces.

It was also great to make a new friend..Anthony M who ventured out with Aussie Commodores for the first time today. Great to meet you mate and looking forward to seeing you on the road with us soon.

As always, it was great to catchup with the members, share a drive and a chat....well that's what Aussie Commodores is about.

Till the next cruise one and all.

Cheers
