I see on Sunday the bathurst light car club has a event on at mount panorama it looks like mountain straight might be blocked off from 8am until 5pm could be a problem for the cruise might be worth looking into a bit more cheers

That's interesting. I'll contact them tomorrow and find out the details and then advise members.

Guys,

I spoke to both Bathurst Council (the person who authorises road closures) and the President of the Bathurst Light Car Club. Here's the drum.

Bathurst Council: Yep, parts of the track will be blocked to public access on the weekend due to the car event being held this Sat and Sun, but the park areas at the top of the mountain will be open and can be used as normal. We can access McPhillamy Park via either of the side access roads.

Bathurst Light Car Club: Yep, they are racing and appreciate the heads up that a car club is heading to the mountain on Sunday. I need to speak to the person organising the event tomorrow, but we should be fine to access Pitt Straight on Sunday. Laps of the mountain are out, but we can still get to the top. The track will be sign posted to allow some track flow through various access points. Once I confirm some more details I'll put a post up but...

WE ARE STILL ON FOR SUNDAY AT THE MOUNTAIN.

Cheers
