Aussie Commodores Saturday
Twilight Cruise !


With the weather warming up and the days getting longer, it's time to enjoy those warm evenings and what better way than by getting out on the road for "Twilight Cruise" across Sydney. So mark this one in the calendar and post up you and the family are coming


Date: Saturday 16th November 2013

Meet place: McDonalds - Mt Colah - 513 Pacific Highway (Corner of Pacific Highway and Lady Street, just five minutes up the road from Hornsby)

Destination: Minchinbury Macca’s (via Warriewood)

Time: 6.00pm for 6.30pm departure


Cruise Route / Directions

Stage 1
1) Leave Macca’s, turn left on Pacific Highway, then next right on Yirra Road and across rail bridge.
2) Turn right over bridge into Belmont Parade, then take next left onto the Kuringai Chase Road, cross over F3 and continue onto Bobbin Head for some pictures.
2) Back down from Bobbin Head on the Bobbin Head Road to North Turramurra.
3) Left on Burns Road, which runs into Killeaton Road.
4) Veer left onto Mona Vale Road and follow through to Terrey Hills.
5) At Terrey Hills, turn left into Mc Carrs Creek Road, turn right at roundabout, then veer left and stay on Mc Carrs Creek Road.
6) At next three way intersection, veer right and stay on road up to Church Point. Continue on road around to Bayview Boat Ramp where we’ll stop for some pictures.
7) Leaving Bayview Boat Ramp, turn left out of carpark and follow Pittwater Road to end.
8) Turn right at lights into Pittwater Road and drive for 2kms.
9) Turn right into Warriewood Road and McDonalds is on your left.

Stage 2
10) Leave Warriwood Macca’s and turn right onto PittWater road and follow south.
11) Veer on the Wakehurst Parkway and follow until Warringah Road.
12) Turn right onto Warringah Road and head to next lights and turn right in Forrest Way. Follow through to Mona Vale Road.
13) Turn left onto Mona Vale Road, and follow till we see the M2 on ramp.
14) Enter the M2 heading west.
15) Stay on M2, then M7 till the Great Western Hwy turn off.
16) Take this off ramp, and turn right onto the Great Western Hwy and drive for 3ks. Maccas on left. Turn left at light into Archbold Road and you are there.

Should take somewhere between 2.5 & 3.5hours (inc a stop at Warriewood Macca’s or other stops along the way.)

We will be leaving at 6.30pm, so if you are late you will be left behind. If you have to cancel on the night or are running late contact GKW on 0403 572 359 to advise.



Given we will be travelling as Aussie Commdores, all drivers and passengers are expected to adhere to all road rules and follow the directions of the lead and rear cars. No “hoon” behaviour or alcohol will be tolerated.

Might be in a dirty pulsar,Dont like the chancers of the wife washing it.I can get the kids to do it as my little girl always wants to help me but it might end up a bit patchy.lol.

Regardless of the rain, I had a great time out with the members of Aussie Commodores. Always fun getting out on the road, getting a feed (great fish & chips) and having a chat!
