Not sure how reliable the story is but the use of Holden parts is interesting if this holds true.

Obviously the rear of our utes are to small for the yanks so they thought its only good for putting the big V8 in.

The corvette is a pretty good GT car already, making it mid engined would give it a lot more balance. Only front engined car that is really well balanced now is the Merc, but that is just the a nice example of how good German engineering is.

Lets just hope America come good on their promise to make all their models available in right hand drive. Not holding my breath though, it may take a while by the sounds of it.

I've been following this through some freinds over there also makes for a very interesting concept I'm not convinced seeing that corvette has so much heritage as front mount rear wheel drive
